On your mark, Get set, Go!
Whether you are a first time participant or a seasoned 5K veteran, you are invited to the Boone County Arboretum on April 27, 2024 to take part in our annual Dogwood Dash 5K Run and Walk through the Arboretum. This fun event is held each April as the spring blooms are coming out of their long winter nap.
Awards, door prizes, tree seedlings and refreshments provided to participants. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged, and a link to do that will be posted here soon.
All proceeds benefit the Friends of Boone County Arboretum to continually improve the arboretum grounds and educational opportunities. Dust off your running shoes and get ready for this scenic spring–time race!

Sponsorship Opportunities, at different levels, are available to businesses who want to support this exciting community event at the beautiful Arboretum in 2024. The Dogwood Dash Planning Committee will meet January to April 2024, to plan and ensure the success of the event. Description
COURSE: A beautiful scenic loop course (3.1 miles) on paved trails through the Boone County Arboretum.
PACKET PICK-UP & REGISTRATION: Pick up your race number and packet on Friday, April 26th from 12:00pm – 6:00pm at Tri-State Running (Florence Location) or prior to the race on Saturday morning, beginning at 7:30am.

INTERESTED IN FREE ENTRY? Work our Dig in the Dirt Volunteer Day on Tuesday, April 16, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and receive a free entry (no shirt). Entry form will be completed at conclusion of volunteering.
RACE DAY REGISTRATION: Opens at 7:30 a.m. at the Boone County Arboretum, 9190 Camp Ernst Road, Union KY.
**Please, no strollers or dogs in race**
DIRECTIONS: From Interstate 75, take KY 18, Exit 181, and head west toward Burlington. Travel approximately 3 miles. Exit on right, then turn left overtop of KY 18 and onto Camp Ernst Road. Go 4.5 miles. Boone County Arboretum at Central Park is on the left.
KIDS FUN RUN: Kids 7 and under, immediately following completion of 5K.
5K RUN CATEGORIES: Male and Female:
15/under, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80/over.
5K WALKERS: Male & Female: 29/under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80/over. Walkers must walk the entire distance. Any participant who plans on running through any part of the course must register as a runner.
AWARDS: Top 2 overall males and females, runners and walkers. Overall award winners are not eligible for age division awards. Also, the top two females/males in each age category win an award. Awards provided by Tri-State Running Company.
FOLLOWING THE RACE: Refreshments, awards, participant door prizes.
