About the Program

Whether you want to run a 5K and don’t know where to start or you used to run and are trying to ease back into it, we are here to help! Our beginning program (Couch to 5K) is designed to take participants through a run/walk interval program until they can ultimately build up to running a full 5K (3.1 miles). This program runs quarterly, with a goal race at the end of each eight week session.

Each 5K training session meets on Monday and Thursday nights from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The schedule also includes a third day to be completed on your own, typically on Saturday.

Training Prerequisite

There are NO training pre-requisites for this session. Our program is open to people of all abilities! If you are getting back into running or want to begin running this is the group for you.

Flying Pig 5K: Training begins Monday, March 10, 2025| Edgewood KY, Florence KY, Mariemont OH locations (Race Day: May 3, 2025) (The group will meet on Monday and Thursday nights from 6:30 – 7:00 p.m.)
