Tri-State Running Company is excited to partner once again with Ridge Runners Racing INC for the 2nd Annual Little Rooster Run! Join us on Friday, October 16, 2026, at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds and Park in Glencoe, KY. Conveniently located just 30 minutes from Cincinnati, this scenic event features a Kids Fun Run, a 5K Trail Run, and a unique Mini Barnyard Ultra “Last Runner Standing” challenge.

Thursday, October 15: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Friday, October 16: 12:00 PM – 7:30 PM

5:30 PM – Little Rooster Kids Fun Run (1/2 Mile): For kids ages 9 & under on a 1/2-mile mowed cross-country path. Parents are welcome to run alongside at no extra cost.

6:00 PM – 5K Trail Run: A picturesque 3.187-mile loop featuring open park space, canopy-covered trails, and a pond dam crossing. Walkers welcome (generous 2-hour cutoff). Headlamps recommended!

8:00 PM – Mini Barnyard Ultra Trail: A “Last Runner Standing” endurance event! Complete a 2.083-mile loop every 30 minutes on the half-hour until only one runner remains. Headlamps required.

Weather Emergency Protocol
For participant safety, the event follows the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) color-coded Event Alert System (EAS):

🟢 Green (Low Risk): Good conditions.

🟡 Yellow (Moderate Risk): Less-than-ideal weather; exercise caution.
-
🔴 Red (High Risk): Dangerous conditions; slow pace and prepare for potential delays.
-
⚫ Black (Extreme Risk): Severe weather; event paused/closed immediately.
Note: If weather forces an event cancellation, affected runners may defer their entry to the 2027 race. Refunds are not available. Due to event insurance restrictions, no pets are permitted on course.
